Nairn Book and Arts Festival was to have hosted the Highland Society of London and Moniack Mhor for the Highland Book Prize awards ceremony on the eve of this year’s literary programme. The prize is organised by Moniack Mhor and sponsored by the Highland Society. Unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstances we have had to take the decision to cancel the live event in Nairn this year. The winner for the 2023 Highland Book Prize will be announced on Wednesday 4th September on the Highland Book Prize website.
The good news is, that we have arranged for an enhanced author talk that same evening, with Highland Book Prize shortlisted author James Macdonald Lockhart to be interviewed by poet Peter Mackay, with music by clarsach player Cheyenne Brown, and you can book a ticket to view online below, or to attend live.
